Breaking Up With My Co-Founder Part II

I received a phone call from one of my friends today regarding the breakup between my co-founder and I. I didn’t listen to the whole voicemail but he said something about reading this blog so I figured I’d write a follow up post:

It’s not personal or anything. I just want to work on things by myself from now on. I enjoyed hanging out with you guys, but I don’t think we share the same mono-maniacal focus when it comes to startups. For me, the stakes are high. Right now I am a 31 year old unemployed loser that lives with his parents, and I have a two year old son who’s starting to ask what his daddy does for a living. I don’t want my son to grow up thinking his father is a fucking loser. So that’s why this is so important to me. Startups are my ticket out of this mess, and I’m not going to let anything get in my way.
